The Art Of Photography Business Card

Business cards should be given more importance than what professional are giving it nowadays. There is so much potential in it. Imagine it is the one thing from you that they could potentially bring everywhere because it is small enough to be carried anywhere. That being said, a lot of thought has to be put on a photography business card. A photographer, more than most, must be an epitome of creativity in everything he does. Check out some of the things you can use as an inspiration in coming up with a concept for your own business card.

Folded
One good way to make your card a stand out is if you use other styles like folding the card. This will allow you to have more space to put more information on that card. You can, perhaps, put a photo or to on one side and all the other information on the other side.

Mini Portfolio
You can turn you business card into a mini portfolio but putting some collection of the best photos you have taken. This will already give the customer an idea on what kind of skill you have even without your portfolio. One thing you can also do is make different versions of your business cards. T

Conceptualize It
You can put a glamorous photo of yourself but with the police line up card. When I say glamorous, you have to make it age-, gender- appropriate. There is no reason for a 50-year old photographer to be posing in high school uniform.

Unique Materials
Almost all materials of a business card uses the hard cardboard paper. Why not use a recycled material? A film negative? Plastic? (this won’t sit well for environmentalist though). You can even use a transparence paper. They are obsolete nowadays so they might be selling cheap.

Unique Shape
It shouldn’t be difficult to fit in one of those cardholders or a wallet but putting a dye-cut is not a bad idea. It would be an extra if you can incorporate some visuals into the die cut. I remember seeing something where the side is torn and a photo of a woman seems to be using the torn part to cover her naked body.

I hope that you learned a thing or two about how to make a photography business card.
